Personally, the year 2014 has been a wonderful year on all sides. God has been faithful to me and my household, with the promise of a brighter and greater future.
Recounting my blessings, 2014 saw the release of four singles in all, namely: Mukulumuke, Ololufe, I Will Not Forget (produced by Tosin Paul) and very recently, Lovey Lovey (produced by Mix Master J).
Also, I got two music awards: MEGA 2014 Best Afro Pop Single and NGMA 2014 Best Female Vocalist.

Forbes reports ,Oprah Winfrey is worth $2.9 billion. Africa boasts 55 billionaires and they’re worth a staggering $143.88 billion in total, according to pan-African magazine Ventures Africa.
Alakija started her career as a secretary in a bank in the mid 1970s. She then studied fashion in London and returned to Nigeria to start a label, Supreme Stitches.
But her biggest break came in oil. In 1993, her company, Famfa Oil, was awarded an oil prospecting license, which later became OML 127, one of Nigeria’s most prolific oil blocks.
The company owns a 60-per-cent stake in the block, valued at around $7.3 billion, Ventures Africa has reported.
Too Sad! Lagos Police DPO at Ijede Police Station slumps and dies in Office
This is so Sad! Police Officer in charge of the Ijede Police Station, Nwaoha Uzoma, has died.
According to Punch Uzoma’s corpse was found in his office on Thursday, a day after he entered and locked himself in.
It was gathered that after he did not pick his calls, anxious relatives and policemen in the station broke the door open and saw his lifeless body on the floor.
Uzoma, a Superintendent of Police, was formerly heading the Anthony Police Division, before he was posted to Ijede, in the Ikorodu area, early in December.
The deceased, who was married with children, was in his fifties.
A police source said, “The DPO was posted from Anthony to Ijede around December 5. At that time, he had an illness, which was not very serious. He was a friendly man who could sometime become angry and that’s when you offend him. But once he showed his anger and you begged him, he forgave and that would end it.
“On the day of the incident, he entered his office and shut himself in. People didn’t suspect anything because he sometimes slept there. People didn’t see him come out throughout that day and then the next day, they called his phone repeatedly but he didn’t pick it.
“That was how people became suspicious and broke the door. They found his corpse on the floor.”
The police were said to have evacuated the corpse and deposited it in a private mortuary.
Another police source, who claimed to be close to the deceased, told our correspondent that he saw him few days to his death and he was looking healthy.
He said, “I still saw him at a meeting where he was all smiles and didn’t show any sign of sickness. I was told he slumped and died in his office.”
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, while confirming the incident on Sunday, explained that the police had yet to ascertain the cause of death.
He said, “On December 25, at about 8am, SP Nwaoha Uzoma, was found dead in his office at the Ijede Police Station. His corpse was removed and deposited at St. Raphael Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Abuja big babe and a prominent staff of the National Assembly, Chichi Akparanta, recently lost about fifty million Naira to conmen who posed as prophets. According to the report, she gave them the money in about eight instalments with the largest amount of five million Naira being given sometimes early in November. City People gathered that they had informed her that she was going to lose her job and that in less than two weeks after losing her job she would also lose two of her kids who are abroad schooling.
Based on this, and with the way they got her as well as her details correctly, she was said to have truly believed them to be men of God. After they had fleeced her of about fifty million Naira, they tried killing her when she was no longer forthcoming with money. They gave her acid in a container claiming it was a special solution that would reveal to her who was behind her problems. They then asked her to mix it with any soft drink and take it around midnight. Somehow while in the process of mixing the acid the liquid poured on the ground and she was surprised by what she saw as the acid ate up the rug in her room.
She then decided to try it on other things and to her surprise it was the same as the corrosive nature of the acid woke her up to the reality that she would have died instantly if she had followed the instructions of the fake prophet. Curiously, when she called one of them to find out why they had to do that to her the reply she got was a question wondering if she was still alive as she was expected to be dead.

THRILLS AND FRILLS OF CALABAR CARNIVAL 2014

The 32 days festival running from Nov. 30th to 1st Jan of 2015 is getting hotter and hotter with the five bands digging the best out of the game. The five bands MASTA BLASTA, PASSION 4,SEGUILI, FREEDOM, BAYSIDE are all in top form but MASTA BLASTA was announced Band of the year making it a hat trick since 2012. Four times winner on a stretch from 2008-2011, Passion 4 , gave in their best to redeem their lost glory but the breath taking performance by MASTA BLASTA on 27th DEC. 2014, Silenced PASSION4 from regaining the title.
SEGUILI came out third, FREEDOM finished fourth, while BAYSIDE came out fifth,....
The aftermath of this carnival was CALABAR ROCKS staged at the UJ ESUENE STADIUM in calabar as the giant staged was strong enough to contain the thrills from calabar's own son MC GALAXY, the chairman him self MI, HYPERTEK boss TUFACE IDIBIA, and another home grown boy of theirs, IYANYA, with the host of the night as JULIUS AGWU
It all started from MC GALAXY coming on stage performing all his songs dancing and thrilling them with sime jokes just as he is known as an MUSICCOMEDIAN. He brought in some boys to dance to couple of his songs then giving the poor boy whom came on stage with slippers $300 amounting to 60,000. He also threw couple of this dollar note to the fans.
Then came the chairman Chocolate city frontline rapper MI , performing action film first then some old singles. The wonder of the night was when MI brought on stage a dark skinned girl from the crowd. Admiring her beauty, sweet talking into her and asking her if she would love him so long she has no boyfriend. The young lady declared it that she has no boyfriend. Then he gave her his chain kissed her hands and they both performed all his hit tracks together, little wonder did MI started seeing her perform all his tracks word to word with a good stage confidence. The love waxed stronger on stage amnd they both left the stage together after taking couple of pictures together.
Next on stage was TUFACE doing all his styles and performing loads of his tracks including his major hit African queen.
Finally, came the calabar blooded MADE MEN MUSIC GROUP boss IYANYA. he thrilled his people with all his hit singles also bringing some ladies on stage to whine.
In attendance was also the executive governor of CROSS RIVER STATE GOV. LIYEL IMOKE and his first lady.
